2009 saw the 65th anniversary of D-Day and James hosted the 10 Days of Winters exhibition at Dead Man's Corner in Normandy. Over 3000 people attended the exhibition in commemoration of the brave explots of Major Dick Winters and Easy Company during World war 2. Since then James has painted more of the brothers including Clancy Lyall whose portrait adorned his biography cover and Harley Reynolds who was the first man through the wire on Omaha beach.
